Unit 7

Good Day Everyone!!
Podcast should be planned very carefully so that you may have time to reach the goal of providing users with great service. They should be planned by first identifying existing content that might translate well into an audio or video format (Salmon, 2008). Being able to deliver preliminary information to users can be a very effective way of provide instructional sessions and deliver news updates. Podcast can attract an audience by providing relevant content that is of interest to someone for personal or business reasons. Global businesses are able to use podcast to deliver internal information in regards to policies and procedures and they are able to create and share new ideas along with constant updates of what’s new. Another benefit is that millions of Americans own iPods or MP3 players and have downloaded podcasts from the web so that they could listen to audio files at a time of their choosing. Users can be attracted to podcast by commenting on others websites or blogs or submitting articles with their information included. My selected audience would be for anyone who wants to become more marketable or competitive in their field of study through new tools of the digital age. I believe in this day in time in order to be successful you must take out time to become familiar with today’s new technology so that you may market yourself in a manner that shows your technical and communication skills. My personal experience with the topic of social media and digital tools began when I moved to South Florida in 2005. I came here in need of a job and I had never owned a computer. Through my job searches, I found out how important is to be computer savvy and connected with employers through new media. This encouraged me to invest in a computer which helped me to gain a job at Kaplan University which was a huge career advancement for me at the time and it also helped me to become more a more social person. Unit 5

Good Evening!!
While setting up my profile I was asked a variety of questions in order to allow my viewers to learn about me and my interest. Questions were like what is your: Audio clip URL, Wish list URL, Favorites Movies, music, books and other random questions. This information can be used by others know my likes and dislikes along with my attitude towards different topics. It also let them connect with me by knowing my age, D.O.B, and current location. All of this information will help an employer or company target me based upon what I provide for them to view. There are many risk associated with misuse information if it falls into the wrong hands. There have been many cases of identity theft due to information being given out. There have also been cases where people get humiliated due to others photo shopping pictures and videos. This type of risk can destroy people and their families along with their place of employment. When it comes to social media and privacy, I fear being in a situation where my information is misused. For this reason, I have started putting security settings on my accounts. I was recently told about a face book application that can match up your image with your online profile in seconds. This was a scary article to read but it really opened my eyes up to the dangers of social media.

Unit 3

Good Evening Everyone!! A benefit to having face book is allowing people to develop relationships by sharing information which allows the world to be more connected. This type of ground breaking technology makes it easy to contact and stay connected with family and friends from all over the worlds. Social networking sites lets you have many contacts in the business world which gives an individual more opportunities to market themselves. Face book can help you promote your business and gain credibility through your viewers/readers. Being able to share experiences through face book is a great way to help find solutions to problems and gain knowledge and skills. Challenges that can stem from face book is untrustworthy information such as profiles, stalking, privacy concerns and lost of productivity. Many organizations are concerns about the time that’s being wasted with employees on face book because it’s taking away from production of the company. I have also been told that there are many strings attached when it come to membership. Some social sites keep information while others make it difficult to close out the account. I use social sites to gain information from a variety of things from employment opportunities to the newest product on the market. I enjoy reading blogs from other people to read their feelings about specific topics.

There are times when you will download certain programs or keep old  files on your computer. After 90 days you must be sure to go through all of your programs and remove unwanted files and documents. Reorganizing files and adding them can take up a lot of space on your computer that can slow down your performance.

Economy Of Words

The economy of words means that you are able to get a message of words together to produce a clear and concise point of view or statement. I believe an economy of words is words that work together to convey a message which is clear and to the point. Thomas Jefferson once said “The most valuable of all talents is that of never using two words when one will do”. Successful writers seem to stick to the important details of a message and they leave out words that are less important so that people may focus on the main idea. Having an economy of words is words with meaning that emphasizes on what’s important without repeating yourself to get a message across. Many are distracted with reading memo, emails, and blogs that have too many words with less meaning so its always good to have an economy of words.

The Benefits and Drawbacks of blogging

The benefits of blogs are that they allow you to develop longer and stronger relationships with others and it’s an excellent tool that allows you to share your knowledge with others. Blogs allow consumers to give feedback, comments and suggested stories based on your subject. Blogs allow you to make yourself marketable and competitive in today’s economy. The disadvantages of blogging consist of many risks such as inappropriate comments against someone or a company, multiple tones as if you’re unable to write down your thoughts in a clear manner which can turn consumers away, and damaging the reputation of a company by not keeping the blog updated for consumers to be informed of new products and services. There are many drawbacks and benefits of blogging that must be taken into consideration and with these in mind, you can have fun.

IPhone 5

Hello My Techtronics,
Sooo, as you've heard the Iphone 5 is coming out. YAY! I'm a loyal AT&T customer and have been for 9 years now. Talk about high...Wheeew, they need to give customers like me a Break!
As bad as I would like to upgrade to the IPhone 5, chances are 6 will be out 6 months later. In the meantime, while I'm currently under contract and not eligible to upgrade, I have to pay full price for the phone. GEEZ...they really know how to get ya.

Contracts are 2 years long-In most cases you must be at least 6 months away from your ending t date to receive a discounted price and on top of all that ...they have new phones coming out every 3 months or so....something doesn’t add up here…..I guess we all love life's little necessities regardless of what sneaky tactics companies use on us. SMH...Go figure
